Map of Religions - * digital $1 download for personal use
This is Russell H. Lenz's 1964 Map of Religions.
It is a Blue & White image that is coded by country, based on 1960's data. It is coded by various shades of blue. It shows four denominations of Christianity (Protestantism, Roman Catholicism, Areas of Protestants, Roman Catholics & others, and Eastern Churches). It also is coded (by various shades of screening for Islam, Buddhism, Buddhism (with Confucianism and Taoism), Buddhism (with Shintoism), Hinduism, Judaism, Tribal Religions, and Thinly populated areas.
The art work & lettering are done in the classic "Lenz" style, with pen and ink -- however, you do not get the topographic relief in Lenz's classic stippling style with many of his other maps. It is one of a series of 10 maps created for World Eagle publishing in 1964, and the image was also later published in the Christian Science Monitor.
This is a 150-DPI image that you can download for personal use only for $1.
